Why Would Fly Tyers Love This Product?

Professional fly tyers understand that movement is one of the biggest triggers in effective fly design — and Strung Schlappen excels at creating natural underwater motion.

This material is highly regarded for its:
✔ long flowing fibers
✔ exceptional water movement
✔ easy wrapping characteristics
✔ natural profile taper
✔ excellent feather density

Compared to stiffer hackle materials, schlappen provides a softer, more fluid movement that creates lifelike breathing action with even minimal current movement.

Perfect for tyers looking to build:

• larger streamer profiles
• flowing salmon fly collars
• steelhead intruders
• baitfish movement
• modern articulated flies
• premium professional patterns

The feather structure allows tyers to create flies with:
✔ enhanced movement
✔ fuller silhouettes
✔ improved underwater presence
