Semperfli Glo-Brite Floss - High Visibility Fly Tying Floss

Semperfli Glo Bright Floss

Semperfli Glo Bright Floss is a high-visibility fly tying floss designed to give fly tyers bright, clean colour for traditional and modern fly patterns. Known for its strong colour intensity and smooth finish, Glo Bright Floss is widely used for tying salmon flies, trout flies, buzzers, lures and attractor patterns where clear body colour is important.

Made from high-quality fibres, Semperfli Glo Bright Floss lays flat on the hook to create neat bodies, tags and rib sections without unwanted bulk. It can be used directly for bright colour effects or blended with other materials to build more complex fly bodies. We have redefined the fluorescent floss devised by Tom Saville with a thinner floss capable of being used on smaller flies or giving better heads with finer layers to give a more attractive head or rib on a fly. Our team used our incredible computerised dyeing machinery have matched the original colors defined by Tom Saville and produced Glo-Bright Floss that has more use, can be used on smaller flies and is a step up from the original developed by Tom.

Why Fly Tyers Use Glo Bright Floss

Glo Bright Floss remains popular because it provides:

• bright consistent colour

• smooth body formation

• strong wrapping control

• excellent durability

It is especially useful where strong colour triggers fish responses, including bright tags, hotspots and classic body sections.

Ideal for Many Fly Patterns

Semperfli Glo Bright Floss works exceptionally well for:

• salmon flies

• traditional wet flies

• nymph tags

• buzzer cheeks

• lure bodies

• attractor patterns

The floss allows precise body shaping while maintaining a slim profile, making it useful on both small and large hooks.

Excellent for Traditional and Modern Fly Tying

Whether tying classic salmon flies or modern stillwater patterns, Glo Bright Floss remains one of the most useful materials for adding controlled colour without unnecessary bulk.

Its strong colour range allows fly tyers to match both natural tones and high-visibility attractor shades depending on the pattern being tied.
